It's been more than 16 years since Sohni ditched a career in IT to dabble in design. She now has her own Indian ethnic women's wear label “Sohni,” a contemporary take on classic Indian fabrics, textures and embroidery.
She’s a yoga enthusiast, a die-hard lover of the written word and also works as a volunteer. For the last 6 years, she’s been with the NGO Nanhi Jaan and works at the children’s playroom at the Advanced Pediatric Centre.
One of the girls at Sikhya is very keen on becoming a fashion designer and Sohni has not only been her mentor but has also been able to give her more hands-on experience with clothing and textiles.
